
Architects, not Architecture (AnA) is holding its inaugural event in Singapore, marking a significant expansion into Southeast Asia. As part of its 2025 global series, AnA will present its renowned format at the SOTA – Studio Theatre in Singapore on 13 March, 4 PM at SOTA – Studio Theatre in Singapore
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from three distinguished architects. These esteemed professionals will share personal narratives, reflecting on the pivotal moments and life experiences that have shaped their architectural journeys.
AnA, founded in Germany, has been captivating audiences worldwide for over a decade. With more than 75 events across 12 countries and over 200 renowned architects sharing their stories, it has become a cornerstone of the global architectural community.
This milestone event in Singapore underscores AnA’s mission to connect architects and enthusiasts worldwide through storytelling, meaningful dialogue, and thought-provoking conversations.

Charu Kokate is a senior partner and director at Safdie Architects, leading the firm's projects throughout Asia. Her work includes iconic landmarks such as Marina Bay Sands and Jewel Changi Airport, both winners of Singapore's President's Design Award. An advocate for humanistic design and a mentor to future architects, Charu is a frequent speaker at events such as TEDx and the World Architecture Festival.


Richard Hassell is co-founder and director of WOHA, known for its projects that connect architecture to the city as a living system. WOHA's innovative designs, such as One Moulmein Rise and the Oasia Hotel Downtown, have won prestigious awards including the Aga Khan Award and the CTBUH Best Tall Building Worldwide.
Elora Hardy is the founder and creative director of IBUKU, a studio focused on nature-integrated architecture. Known for designing over 200 groundbreaking structures, Elora has been recognized by Architectural Digest and the Royal Society. A TED speaker, she shares her innovative approach to design and sustainability at global platforms such as MIT and the US Green Building Council.
