Immerse yourself in the world of light at Light + Building 2024

Light + Building returns to Frankfurt: Gear up for the world’s largest  trade show for lighting and building services technology.

Light + Building, the world’s leading trade fair for lighting and building-services technology, will return to Frankurt from 3 to 8 March 2024. This biennial trade show brings with it a veritable treasure trove of forward-thinking solutions, bright ideas, and the latest trends.

Over 2,130 exhibitors have so far registered to present their innovations live to a broad audience of trade visitors at an event covering all of Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre.

This year's motto ‘Be Electrified’, Light + Building puts the spotlight on electrification – the basis for greater sustainability and a future-proofed building sector.

Thanks to the comprehensive product spectrum spanning from intelligent lighting technology to future-oriented home and building technology, the trade fair is a must for architects, interior architects, designers, planners and engineers, as well as for artisans.

More light and a new circular route

Light + Building brings together experts for all intelligent lighting solutions for every area of application, whether for offices or educational institutes, industry, trade or the hospitality sector,

Thanks to the inclusion of the new Hall 5 with two modern levels, the eastern section of the Exhibition Centre now boasts a circular route linking Halls 5, 6, the Forum, Hall 3 and Hall 4 via the Via Mobile. The lighting sector continues into the western section of the Exhibition Centre and occupies the whole of Hall 8. Additionally, Hall 10 has been reintegrated into this section.

For this year's design lighting, the myriad collections include luminaires with iridescent surfaces, ribbed glass panels, and glasses of different thicknesses that create spatial effects for an enchanting atmosphere. Handcrafted, sculptural luminaries set special accents, while unexpected and contrasting material combinations result in expressive lighting objects. Visitors will find design-oriented collections by Artemide, Arkoslight, Bega, Bomma, Cangini E Tucci, Martinelli Luce, Molto Luce and Nimbus.

Other highlights to look out for are the new lighting solutions for the modern working world; new creations that combine light and acoustics; and lighting that fulfils various functions in urban settings - to illuminate streets, paths, squares, parks, subways and sports facitilies.

Event programme with added value

In addition to the exhibitors’ product ranges, visitors can gain inspiration and information from the comprehensive programme of events. At the Design Plaza in Hall 3.1, everything revolves around lighting, architecture and design. This is the starting point, for example, of tours of the fair headed by internationally renowned architects and experts.

The Plaza is dominated by lighting and associated topics in the programme organised by the Lighting Section of the German Electro and Digital Industry Association, the IALD – International Association of Lighting Designers – and the Architonic architecture and design platform.

Also eagerly awaited is the presentation of the Designplus Awards by Light + Building.
