Featuring 370m 2 of lush gardens and a 13m vertical green wall, the eco-paradise is home to over 2,400 indoors plants that also function as natural air purifiers. Although the atrium has a glass skylight, sunlight only comes in for a short period and is insufficient for the plants. Hence, the team worked closely with landscape consultant Ramboll Studio Dreiseitl to ensure the greenery selected were more tolerant to low-light conditions. They also use LED grow lights that double up as architectural lighting to complement this. Auto-irrigation was built in to minimise the labour required to water them. For the green wall, a fertigation system was built in to dispense fertilisers into the irrigation system. A combination of custom-designed, built-in furniture was used, such as the large-scale fluted glass communal table in Peppermint. Loose furniture from Kettal were also selected to give an outdoor feel to the lobby, paired with lounge chairs from B&B Italia, among others. All these serve to complement the strong focus on biophilic design, springing an ethereal garden within the hotel that we hope will continue to be nurtured in the years to come. 06. The hotel’s all-day dining restaurant Peppermint was fully re- configured and fitted with custom-designed furniture. 06
