41 HIGH FASHION MEETS SUSTAINABILITY To imbue the design with the Celine identity, a thorough analysis of the brand was fundamental for MetroOffice Architetti. Part of the portfolio of luxury goods conglomerate LVMH, Celine’s ready-to-wear collections and outfit-elevating bags are coveted for their minimalist aesthetic and expert craftsmanship. “It’s clear that architecture does not change as quickly as a fashion collection,” remarks Ponticelli. “A building should represent the essence of a brand beyond the collections and stylists. The Celine brand has always been characterised by a constant search for quality. “La Manufacture perfectly matches this philosophy, transferring the essence into a single building.” Inaugurated in October 2019, La Manufacture was constructed on the foundations of a former industrial site. The building occupies 5,200m 2 and was carefully designed within the same volume to reduce the environmental impact. Paths and flows optimise productivity as the entire production chain is represented within the facility. OPPOSITE. A parking garage on the lower level elevates the facility off the ground. / 2.
